Opposition To Your Destiny
Scripture:
2 Corinthians 2:11 NKJV
Lest Satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices
Observation:
This is Paul’s second epistle to the Church of Corinth, which was experiencing much carnality at the time, and a sect challenged his authority as an apostle. There was a dispute about how to deal with an adulterous man. Paul advised the church to put the man out. They expelled the man from fellowship with them, but when he later repented, there were many that did not want to let him back into the church. Paul urged the people to forgive the man and let him back in so that Satan would not re-take a stronger hold on him.
Application:
As believers, we must be on guard using spiritual discernment to identify the enemy's plans. One of satan's strategies is to keep women in spiritual ignorance and isolate them from the things of God.
The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[fn] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Our destiny is constantly being attacked by the enemy's plots, plans, and schemes. It is your job to use the full authority given to you by God to expose these plans and breath through them.
As women with God’s calling on our life, we can not get comfortable and sleep through the spiritual battle. We can not put our guard down. Satan is our enemy, and he exists to separate us from our destiny. He tries to exert his force and might against us in spiritual warfare. But God has given us dominion and power, and we will not claim spiritual defeat.
Satan’s strategies to discourage, tempt, deceive and distort God’s plans for your life cannot take flight. When we operate from a spirit of ignorance, we are unaware of the enemy’s plans running in the background of our life. Have you ever seen your cell phone battery die because the apps running in the background were draining the power?
If you fail to acknowledge the enemy's attack, he will drain you of your joy, peace, power, and authority and render you weak and ineffective. But I want to remind you that in Luke 10:19, it is declared, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Prayer:
God, I thank you for giving me all dominion, power, and authority over the enemy's plans, plots, schemes, and tactics. I push back against all the powers of darkness and break any and every stronghold over my mind, heart, and soul. I confess and declare that I am strengthened and made perfect in you. I thank you because you have spiritually equipped me for the battle. You have given me the spiritual eyes to see the enemy's devices. My destiny will not be aborted by satan's cheap, ineffective, and deceptive plans. I will claim my inheritance and fulfill my God-given purpose because the calling on my life is far too important to let satan win. I praise you, God, that I am victorious in you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
Reflection:
The Bible says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5. If you are feeling spiritually discouraged, ask God to show you what you are missing
